Arpit Aggarwal has topped this year’s Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE), scoring 385 out of total 408. Arpit has been closely followed by by Bijoy Kochar from Chandigarh and Nishant Kaushik from Bhilai who secured second and third position respectively. Arpit is from New Delhi’s Faridabad area and has been studying at Faridabad’s Modern Vidya Niketan School.
According to JEE Chairman GD Reddy, this year, a record 5.6 million students appeared for the entrance exam out of which only 19,426 have been declared shortlisted for the counseling for 9,647 seats across the prestigious IITs and other institutes across India.
